Cycling is easier than you think. It’s healthy, fast and above all, low cost! Why not avoid the crowds and queues by cycling to the match? St James’ Park is fully accessible by bicycle. Tyne & Wear has an extensive and growing cycle network, focusing on quiet streets and traffic-free paths. That’s why more and more people are giving it a go, so why don’t you get on your bike? Gosforth, Fenham, Benwell, Bensham, Felling, Walker, Heaton are all within 3 miles of Newcastle City Centre.
Three miles is an easy cycle ride which will take most people around 20 minutes. Even cycling 4 or 5 miles should take no more than 30-40 minutes at a pretty modest speed, so don’t be put off if you live a bit further from the stadium
